Vegas Baseball Buddies Scholarship fund
Due to the difficult times we are all currently going through, VBB has created a scholarship fund geared towards youth baseball players in the community. We held a sports memorabilia auction through eBay and a raffle through our PayPal to raise money for this fund. For more information, look below.
Bolden Little League
Who is Bolden Little League?
Bolden Little League is a completely free little league for underserved youth in the Historic Westside of Las Vegas. A community relationship with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has created a little league that is entering its 4th season and has provided children and families an opportunity to play baseball again in the Historic Westside of Las Vegas and well as creating lasting friendships with the officers that look over the community.
President Jacob Zacharia and Board Member Christian Rojas Donate $3,500 Check at Bolden's Opening Day
Jacob and Christian attended Bolden Little League's in April to donate the check in person and to celebrate the festivities with all the athletes and coaches including President of Bolden Little League Mario Berlanga (shown in the image to the right). Jacob gave a short speech to all 110 youth participant and all of the volunteers and parents as well.
Partnership with Shane and Melissa Victorino of the Shane Victorino Foundation
VBB was fortunate enough to partner with the Shane Victorino Foundation receiving $1,500. The SVF was created in 2010 and their signature project is the “Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club,” located in an impoverished area of Philadelphia and one of only a handful of clubs named in honor of an MLB player. Shane Victorino is a two time World Series champ of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Red Sox.
